On my mind right now is how great it is to have a friend who is willing to knock me up a quick leaflet late on a Saturday night using his eye for presentation and much more expensive software....yet how much of a bummer it is realising he's sent me a pro quality/resolution version of a black and white leaflet and it's sucking my ink dry!

I have to meet my little sister in town to do some crimbo shopping. I have been told that I am buying my other little sis seasons 1 and 2 of the Cardasians.
I just googled it and it turns out it isn't Star Trek but a telly show about some plastic people who like gazing into cameras.

Do you think it would be ok if I threw a hissy and got her some book tokens instead.

I don't her feeding habits but I know she likes to drink. I'll check what jabs she'll need for the trip overseas and whether I can UPS her or not.

Yep, the whole thing last night was brilliant. Really enjoyed it! Ricky Wilson (the Kaiser Chiefs) stole the show. The narrator was a holographic Liam Neeson, rather than Richard Burton. You can't outdo Richard Burton, but he was good. Highly recommended.

The seats weren't comfy, and the oaf in front of me kept hurting my legs with the back of his chair, due to it being a tiered seating arrangement with little leg-space, and him pretending he was in a rocking chair or something.

But I don't think you could loose focus, because it was so spell-binding - and loud!

It was Marty Pellow & Jason Donovan (who surprised me by being quite good ), a girl out of the Atomic Kittens (whose name I don't recall) and someone called Will Stapleton, who I'd never heard of before. Oh, & Jeff Wayne.

I think I'll make a point of going to see more bands & plays & orchestras & stuff next year. You get out of the habit, don't you.

I went to see Spamalot about 5 years ago and that's about it.

I've promised myself that I'll do more gigs next year - probably more festivals rather than just Reading alone - and I've always wanted see Rock Horror.
I'd even dress up for the occasion.
