There's nothing wrong with creation and invention, as long as you don't slaughter people to reach your goal.

Industrialism seems to be the problem here, not "progress". We can eventually explore space but we don't have to kill swathes of people to get there.

To be fair the thread title does say "My opinion on many white people". So it's less generalised than I first thought. I was mainly defending against the idea the "White Europeans" are less peaceful, etc than Africans.

That actually poses another question...are all Africans black? Is a white person born on the African continent to parents who were born on the African continent not African?

If you look at some of the threads over at the DIF you will find plenty of racist UK residents though. Generally speaking, I don't think many people over here find racism acceptable and many cities are now multicultural.
