we're capable of higher thoughts and complex reasoning, we use tools and science and logic and make art. we're obviously a lot smarter than other animals but we're blood and bones as well so .. i guess we're just smart monkeys. my cats sit around like they got it all figured out though and think i live to serve them and my dog is kind to me.
we're just animals the same as them, different brains like all different animals have.

Personally I think part of the trouble with humans is when they think of themselves as being superior animals to other animals. I think we often simply fail to look at other animals and their complexities.

Sometimes the fittest take care of the less fit so that weaker may also survive. It is a complex jungle out there.
