Without a doubt, your reflexes will be sharper than mine.

And you are disarming, to say the least.

Nevertheless, the challenge is inviting.

Best of luck.

I would say the human race is more like survival of the devious, sociopathic and two-faced. I suppose you could argue that these people have evolved to a level that others haven't, but they haven't evolved to the level where they're capable of hiding it from anyone whose eyes are remotely open. They've got all the fittest, strongest, smartest people, who could bring them down very easily, working for them, so you've got to hand it to them, really.
The true measure of a man is not his intelligence or how high he rises in this freak establishment. The true measure of a man is this: how quickly he can respond to the needs of others and how much of himself he can give - Philip K. Dick.

Just so you all know exactly where the misapplication of a misinterpretation of Charles Darwin's works can lead:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_Darwinism#Theories_and_origins
Social Darwinism is generally understood to use the concepts of struggle for existence and
survival of the fittest to justify social policies which make no distinction between those able to support themselves and those unable to support themselves. Many such views stress competition between individuals in laissez-faire capitalism; but the ideology has also motivated ideas of eugenics, scientific racism, imperialism, fascism, Nazism and struggle between national or racial groups.

Kierkegaard describes survival sickness well: "Let others bemoan the maliciousness of their age. What irks me is its pettiness, for ours is an age without passion...My life comes out all one colour." Survival is life reduced to bare essentials, to life's abstract form, to the minimum of activity required to ensure people's participation in production and consumption. The entitlement of a Roman slave was rest and sustenance. As beneficiaries of the Rights of Man we receive the wherewithal to nourish and cultivate ourselves, enough consciousness to play a role, enough initiative to acquire power and enough passivity to flaunt Power's insignia. Our freedom is the freedom to adapt after the fashion of higher animals.
Raoul Vaneigem

Many such views stress competition between individuals in laissez-faire capitalism; but the ideology has also motivated ideas of eugenics, scientific racism, imperialism, fascism, Nazism and struggle between national or racial groups.

The ironic thing is that darwinism (note the social bit missing from the front there) is specifically about survival of the most ADAPTABLE species not the 'fittest'.

So why is it the 'fittest' in a social context?

IMHO its because wingnuts associate adaptability with 'liberal' ideas which ofc are based upon accepting change, something abhorrent to conservatives who wish everything to remain static (despite ofc introducing shitloads of change via new laws and regulations which is just yet another example of cognitive dissonance).

So they choose to use the term 'survival of the fittest' and associate it with darwin to give an impression that its somehow always been this way (darwin being someone from the past).

Yet more cognitive dissonance here for wingnut conservatives as darwin was a scientist and at odds with the church :D

In fact, if you look at this too much and try to break it down its akin to looking down a bottomless pit of madness imho.
Words have been twisted by authority to mean whatever the hell they deem them to mean.

'We don't torture people' is a classic example.

I've came to the conclusion that you love mikey, RA. You can't go a day without mentioning his name lately. It's so nice to see such public expressions of love on our little forum... much akin to when you would pull a girls hair in the playground :heart1:

It's just a pity your love will be one-sided as I don't believe mikey swings that way, awwww
