Why does it take a thread highlighting current killing of innocents for you to highlight and condemn the killing of other innocents yet not seemingly condemning the killing of innocents the thread is about?

If you condone these current attacks you condone the killing.

Ask yourself, are you condoning them or condemning them?

When the inevitable retaliatory wave of rocket attacks occur be sure to post the images of killed and maimed kids for us to condemn that too.
Why do I have to condone or condemn?
Can't I just speak the truth as I see it, as I have done in this thread?

You don't have to do anything. I find it quite easy to condemn all killing of innocents.

It's a completely ridiculous analogy is it not? So much so it isn't an analogy.
Let me ask you the question straight to try and get a straight answer.
Do you think that those who are oppressed (by that I mean brutalised, killed etc) should just take it and live with it? (until they don't have the choice)

I thought this thread was about a military operation in an extremely complex part of the world.

Maybe it's a bit of both, or maybe the latter is my perspective alone?

How far back do we go though? Which year(s) do we look at to base our position on? :hahano:

The place has been 'changing hands' for centuries now...under the synagogues there are mosques, under the mosques there are byzantine churches...and so on and so on...and theres always been blood spilled for that to happen, and it hasnt just been jewish blood.

Sure, we can argue/state that if everyone just did what the UN/Brit/American empire said, there may be less blood.

Heck i can see that.

Problem is, not everyone is happy doing as they are told by other powers.

Im just looking at it from both perspectives.

Israel boasts an exceptionally high concentration of archaeological sites, including Crusader, Islamic, Byzantine, Roman, ancient Jewish and prehistoric ruins.

I think the IRA stands as a good example of what can be achieved politically in terms of recompense and change.

Go by what the Israeli political groups and PLO groups are saying here man, I'm not talking out of my arse, there is a definite drive for a peaceful negotiation of terms favourable to both sides, but not in most parts of the Gaza strip, and not within Hamas as a political party and ruling Faction.

Hamas are fucking wingnuts.

They were a paramilitary organisation, kinda like Hamas, then they made peace and became a Political organisation, now the queen shakes their hand and Sinn Feinn dominate Irish politics, it's not perfect no, there's still sectarian violence, but it's better than war, and at least both sides talk politically to avoid further killing.

There's more than 2 "empires", 2 sides, 2 tendencies, 2 choices, I can see a pattern in your thinking, Fighting with weapons didn't go great for most people who tried, now the military have all manner of destructive and subtle shit, only idiots will believe they'll win any fight against a wealthy developed capitalist nation..

If you are truly radical you need military power to defend your interests, but you can't assume that power by first waging a guerrilla/terrorist war against them for a century or however long that particular one will go on. :conf:

It doesn't bother me, the thread will sink a day or two after this particular skirmish is over, hopefully next time we talk about it Hamas itself will be past tense Insha'Allah :killinme:
