What Israel want is what the British wanted in Ireland imo, a political discourse and ceasefire.
They can't have that with Hamas:
GB:There is a legitimate argument within the Israeli security assessment on whether or not making a truce with Hamas strengthens Hamas at a time when we know Ahmed Jabari and his colleagues are not peace activists. They don’t want peace with Israel they are committed to Israel’s destruction. For tactical reasons they had decided that a ceasefire was in their interests because each round of violence brings about the death of 10 and 25 combatants in Gaza and they didn’t see any value when no real damage was happening to Israel from their rockets attacks. So they wanted to at least have a time-out, where they could reconsider new moves. ...
TBH I think Israel is doing Palestine a favour, the sooner Hamas is consigned to the rubbish dump of history the sooner peace can be achieved, and the more likely it becomes that a less hardline right wing nut will be elected in Israel.
Timeline's are always devoid of context they are frequently used by propagandists, an example is the chart of persecutions of the Jews in Europe, for hundreds of years, the NAN's used to use it to show how bad the jews were, "look Europe had the right idea, look at all those Holocausts the jews caused" they never used to mention the countries leading the persecutions were predominantly Roman Catholic, ie religious fucktards(in the middle ages more so than today).
During the Holocaust, the Middle East was in turmoil. Britain prohibited Jewish immigration to the British Mandate of Palestine. In Cairo the Jewish Lehi (also known as the Stern Gang) assassinated Lord Moyne in 1944 fighting as part of its campaign against British closure of Palestine to Jewish immigration, complicating British-Arab-Jewish relations. While the Allies and the Axis were fighting for the oil-rich region, the Mufti of Jerusalem Amin al-Husayni staged a pro-Nazi coup in Iraq and organized the Farhud pogrom which marked the turning point for about 150,000 Iraqi Jews who, following this event and the hostilities generated by the war with Israel in 1948, were targeted for violence, persecution, boycotts, confiscations, and near complete expulsion in 1951. The coup failed and the mufti fled to Berlin, where he actively supported Hitler. In Egypt, with a Jewish population of about 75,000, young Anwar Sadat was imprisoned for conspiring with the Nazis and promised them that "no British soldier would leave Egypt alive" leaving the Jews of that region defenseless. In the French Vichy territories of Algeria and Syria plans had been drawn up for the liquidation of their Jewish populations were the Axis powers to triumph.
The tensions of the Arab-Israeli conflict were also a factor in the rise of animosity to Jews all over the Middle East, as hundreds of thousands of Jews fled as refugees, the main waves being soon after the 1948 and 1956 wars. In reaction to the Suez Crisis of 1956, the Egyptian government expelled almost 25,000 Egyptian Jews and confiscated their property, and sent approximately 1,000 more Jews to prisons and detention camps. The population of Jewish communities of Muslim Middle East and North Africa was reduced from about 900,000 in 1948 to less than 8,000 today.

I try and visualise the Ottoman Empires break up as being represented by various factions in the region, you could trace the roots of the current conflicts and see some allegiances around the early and mid 19th century that are being played out today, there's no more relevant "agency of the European Nobility" in the region than the Hashemite Dynasty.
In the higher realms of the West I think there is a distinction between EU, Vatican Pan Europa networks who subtly oppose the security of the Jews in Israel, who work through the UN and the WASP industrialist networks who support Israel but balance that with Industrial dependence on Arabian oil, the Hashemites, the Saudis, Qataris etc represent Arab members of these Western Imperialist networks, the Syrian, Baathist Iraqi's, Ghaddaffi, Iran, etc represent opposition to these Imperialist outposts in Arabia and are being slowly changed.
The fact is imo it's fucking stupid to take sides or form a personal allegiance to one side or the other, that's what opportunists and emerging/conserving powers try to do, we have the ability to objectively study and understand the entire history of the region, and who benefits from the perpetual war of Jews and Arabs; answer: everyone except Jews and Arabs.
I'm glad I've not fallen out with anyone in this thread, sorry if i've come across as arrogant or anything
