Crochetshawl


The first pic is my latest bag - used up loads of scraps of material I had which is always good - the second pic is of a crochet shawl which I was working on last night and finished about 15 mins ago :)
Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.

aww abs - you are gonna give me a big head!! you are very kind to say such nice things and am sure your curtains are perfect - if its any consolation the blooming slugs have ruined my herbs and strawberries - my gardening needs a lot of work and this years strawberry jam stock is going to be rather lacking :(

ty wub - i taught myself the crochet after being given a crochet hook and ball of wool this xmas - the shawl was my first attempt at reading a pattern - it saw me through the latest dif thread though haha

I have found that making stuff everytime I am getting sucked into something online really helps to avoid as much conflict as I could get into - got a craft fair on saturday so hopefully will sell some stuff so I don't end up over run hehe

Where do you get your fabric from? Do you just look out for bits and bobs?

I bought an old Jones sewing machine from a brick-a-brack shop a while back for £20. I have not yet been able to sort out the tension on it. This is unfortunate, because I also picked up some fabulous 1970's fabric from another brick-a-brack shop, and I want to make curtains with it. :( :D

I think it's a genetic predisposition. I've seen women on maternity leave bring babies into an office environment, and it's just accepted that work stops for about two hours.
