As far as mind control, well you could say we are all mind controlled to a certain degree, buy this buy that and aspire to live a certain way so no one escape mind fucks.
This is completely true, of course. The term 'mind control' suggests something pretty all-encompassing and drastic, but in fact every single human-being can be conditioned quite easily and thoroughly. We know this 100%, there's absolutely no doubt about it whatsoever. The extent to which this is possible, and what can be achieved by doing it, this is less clear. But, again, we do know 100% that such things were attempted during MKULTRA, because 20,000 documents were recovered. We would know a lot more were it not for the fact that the Director of the CIA at the time, Richard Helms, had ordered for documents related to the programme to be destroyed.

It seems far more likely to me that in this case some fairly nondescript person has simply gone on a shooting spree. But I certainly don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility for someone to be conditioned to behave in a way that would be abhorrent to them in a different context. All you have to do is look around the world, and you'll see it happening on a massive scale every single day.

Im glad you used the words " attempted " wub :D because people attempt many things :killinme:

But now would you use some urchin or somebody who is already indoctrinated and a psycho according to you ie one of the hundreds of thousands in the US military ?

This is the basic idea, however, I still think it is more likely that this is a person who had a more mundane breakdown.

It would be an interesting - and difficult to answer satisfactorily - question as to why these incidents almost always seem to occur in the United States, or at least tend to receive most publicity when they occur in the US, when there are other nations with similar gun laws and prevalence of firearms.

I am surprised it doesn't happen more often and quite impressed with peoples tolerance of others, especially in countries where firearms are prevalent, although i must admit i don't have any figures to quote on this subject.

You can see a list here:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_...tional_homicide_rate

Compare the homicide rate in Switzerland, where the gun laws are described as follows:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_Switzerland
Gun politics in Switzerland are unique in Europe. The personal weapon of militia is kept at home as part of the military obligations. Switzerland has one of the highest militia gun ownership rates in the world. In recent times political opposition has expressed a desire for tighter gun regulations. A referendum in February 2011 rejected stricter gun control.

There are other examples you could pick out, but the homicide rate is nearly 800% higher in the US than Switzerland. AFAIK, you just don't hear of people shooting up public places in Switzerland like you do in the US. I could suggest all kinds of reasons for this, but I think it's too simplistic to say that guns equal homicides. Virtually no-one owns a gun in Britain, and the homicide rate is double that of Switzerland.

Disarming the American people was always on the cards prior to any full scale imposition of a police state.

It's more than ironic when the American government was caught red handed shipping automatic weapons to Mexican drug gangs.

It will be a USA police state to begin with, then it will spread worldwide, since all other countries governments agree on imposing a NWO. 12 dead and 50 injured is definetly not a movie, this is real life.

Exactly what I'm thinking. The only question I have is where these influences may have come from

Denver.... 17 miles from Columbine, the Jon Benet Ramsey thing recently resurfaced in the news too.... now this.

Once again, lone nut? Breakdown? Witnesses say he took a call, went outside, came back in and started up. He knew he was going to jail, given his online requests at an intimate dating site. Witnesses also said he was calm as could be, was very well prepared and went about the task emotionlessly and efficiently, almost like he was a trained pro. I think people automatically start to think "Well the guy is nuts....." because most people feel that to do something like this, you must be crazy. He rigged his apartment, wore body armour, a gas mask, had tear gas, and an expensive arsenal to do business with. Ya know? He was deliberate, and very well organized. Leave the leap to "mind controlled" out of it if it's just too much to consider, but this looks like a paramilitary styled hit. Where did he get his weapons and preparation training? Online? Call of Duty: Black Ops?

Once again, the whole "did it to be famous" thing used to work in the 70's and early '80's as a "reason", but now, these things are a dime a dozen -- here today, gone later today in the MSM.

gun laws in switzerland are very different from america its part of civil deffence to have an authorised weapon in the home
once certain criteria are reached ie no mental health issues etc ,
ammunition is strictly controlled and accounted for if as much as one bullet is accounted for on inspection then its jail and no more guns ever ,
prior to and during gun ownership training is given in its use etc
theres no comparison between the two nations gun laws ,

murder statistics and gun violence are in comparable also as they are two indirectly connected events
for example in america murder rates outside of gun crime are about one quarter of all murders ,
but its the amount deaths in relation to shooters and horrific injuries that set gun aside ,
i mean how many nra supporters were in that theatre how many pro gun how many gun owners ?
and what bloody good did it do them

I wouldn't say that they're vastly different, I would say that they're somewhat different. Regarding the ammunition being strictly controlled, what good would this do if someone went postal and gunned down a load of people? It simply doesn't happen in Switzerland, however, despite the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of guns stored at private homes. The culture is simply much healthier.

As I say, the homicide rate in Britain is double that of Switzerland, despite the fact that the legislation is much more prohibitive. In fact, after the 1997 Firearms (Amendment) Act, despite tighter regulation of firearms, a 2006 study in the British Journal of Criminology found that gun crime had increased. You can read about this here:

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1440764.stm

I wouldn't want to see the UK become like the US in this respect, but I think it is too simplistic to simply say that guns equal homicides. It doesn't stand up to statistical scrutiny.

Anyway, if it is true that the "right to bear arms" was put into the constitutions in order to protect the people from a murderous dictator, then any shooting incident like this very sad one, should not be used to take away the rights of innocent people who harm nobody, to continue to bear arms. If people/governments are using guns in the wrong way, then the CAUSE of it is of primary importance, and should be looked at and dealt with (communities breaking down etc), with a view to NOT taking away the right to bear arms. I dont own a gun and dont intend to but I understand why it was/is important for Americans to do so.

to understand why guns are a danger you need to grasp how easy they make killing a person or a group of people ,
if a countrys murder rate is high without guns it would go through the fucking roof with guns and if violent assualts are common then adding legal guns to the cocktail will escalate deaths tenfold ,
how americans think by owning guns their goverment is scared of them and killers are scared of them beats the shit out of me ,
goverment would call on the army to quell any mass gun battle ffs thats bye bye billy bob and texas dan from two miles away courtesy of apaches (the modern kind )
as for crooks with illegal firearms its a fact that a helluva lot of them illegal guns were stolen from people who had that now illegal gun to protect themselves from the very thing they helped create ILLEGAL FIREARMS

There are 420,000 firearms in people's homes in Switzerland, and their homicide rate is half that of the UK, where such behaviour is strictly prohibited by the state. Despite this, since stricter regulations came into place, firearm-related incidents have increased. This is not some tenuous opinion from a pro-gun pressure group, it is from the British Journal of Criminology.

The point is that the relationship between guns, government regulation and firearm ownership is more complex and nuanced than either the completely pro or anti-gun people would have you believe, and also there is not a definitive correlation between number of guns per head of population and number of homicides.

The Swiss do 2 yrs National Service and are then required to keep their firearm at home. The people are trained.
Now if the NRA didn't pish about with their selective emphasis of the US 2nd* amendment a similar situation may have been in place there.
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
The people were supposed to be trained and regulated.

Different culture, completely different outcome.
