I'm going to make this my last post in this thread, I love a good bout of head bashing but this one has got a bit too crappy even for me now.

I've had a sock at the DIF for um however long and the sock report goes like this. The DIF is sinking like a proverbial stone.
When I first joined up what seems like an eternity ago you'd submit a post and another would be there pretty much straight away. You all know what I mean. It was a vibrant place even if not all the energy was good. Over the period since the SZ started (I'm not drawing any connection, that's just a timescale reference) I've noticed "traffic" getting slower and slower. It's got to the stage now where my sock will make a post, I'll go for a cuppa and a fag, check the chemtrail activity, do an oil change on the mk2 and watch my copy of Pompey winning the FA cup, then go back to the DIF and find hardly anything has happened. It really has got that bad.

Whilst over here, things have been growing steadily. There are quiet days for sure but the trend is of more and more activity. SZ is now rapidly approaching 40k posts...... Sometimes a load of us will be here and as soon as you submit you see another post or more has got in before you

So, imo yes, the DIF was infiltrated by the far right. As has the conspiracy "scene" in general. The two have always been bedfellows. But it's bitten the DIF's arse that they've let things go the way they have. DIF is a dead man walking.

I know I've played my part in some of the bad atmosphere that's hung over certain threads on SZ these past couple of days. I'm not gonna say sorry because all I've done is speak my mind but I am gonna try to put things back in perspective a bit.

So, SZers let's collectively remember the lessons learnt from our time at the DIF and put the squabbling to bed for the sake of all of us eh. Peace out wabbit.

Yes I think the enforced exodus that took place in spring was a big part of it as was the birth of this place what now seems an eternity ago. In an ironic sort of way Sean rather enforced the race thread boycott that he and others were opposed to Traffic slowed and has got very close to stopping for a site of 70k or whatever it's touted as being.

No, I don't think David Icke or the people in charge of running the DI Forum are Neo-Nazis; not even anti-Semites. I do think a couple of moderators sympathise more than they should with many of their beliefs, and I have no doubt that the same couple are anti-Semites -as well as many other people over there who ain't got the slightest clue what that word even means (mainly due to the sheer amount of confusion that was purposely created by some individuals; to which the people who run the forum were quick to subscribe)-, and ignore that racism or even hatred are not at all necessary for it to constitute anti-Semitism, as simply having prejudices or using a different ruler will do (either against the Jews or Israel). And I'm not saying this because I have a 6th sense that tells me who is an anti-Semite and who is not; I'm saying it simply because their prejudices are all over the place for anyone to read, and because I can see how they react when anyone explains to them what anti-Semitism really is and always has been.

However, I do think that the people who run the forum are fine with having Neo-Nazis and anti-Semites constantly spreading their hateful ideology and believes, are allowed to say whatever they want (even racist and hateful comments that no one ever deletes), insult and bully whoever they like (which no one ever moderates), and practically impose unchallenged their shit by the force of numbers and repetition. And they don't only allow it; they clearly support them by removing any post that exposes all these facts, by closing and erasing threads that deal with these issues, and -as most of us well know- by threatening, warning and banning any opposition to this people.

Whether they do it because of the traffic or because of something else, I honestly don't know. The best I could is speculate, so I'm not going to do it. But what I do know is that they are well aware of what they are doing, and have been trying to cover it up at least since the time the old moderators were banned; using shenanigans to bend their own forum rules like allowing hatred against the Jews as long as it's masked as anti-Zionism, and now going a step forward by allowing racism as long as it's masked as anti-Semitism.... that's what I meant by "the DI Forum is pro-Nazi, and would do anything to hide it".

Finally; I couldn't care less what happens to the DI Forum -I haven't been interested in David Icke or Conspiracy Theories for 2 years now, when I realised it's just another way to make money and attract people towards the right-wing. But I'm glad I did my part in setting the record straight on many of the their constant lies, in putting it harder for them to spread more hateful propaganda, hopefully prevented other forum members from falling into Nazism and anti-Semitism, and on top, I really love discussions... about whatever. So, I regret nothing.

How likely is this? Either their way of measuring this is basically worthless, or else most of The Guardian's traffic is bots, or for some bizarre reason 60% of visitors look at one article and then log off. Maybe this is true of most websites, though, I don't know. There are so many sites where people just click on links and then close them down maybe it is all human traffic. But for some reason the Daily Mail has no 'bounce rate' at all:

In summary, I would question the validity of those statistics!

Its correct to assume that most single page hits are bots.
The rest are people specifically interested in 1 page shown in google news for example or perhaps one page of interest from a google search. Admittedly some might click through the site if they are interested further as humans will do

Its difficult to predict how those statistics will change over time actually.
