He's never been drunk again.
Not because he listened to me but I think he just gave himself a huge fright and puked for 36 hours

My firstborn did the spectacular thing first time around too at the age of 15... spent a night being violently sick and he too hasn't drank since and he's now 22.
Works for me that it turned out that way :D

Cantona know's why, but my folks decided to have a brand new ,mustard coloured ,carpet layed . It ran from the downstairs hall, up the stairs onto the landing, then upstairs hall, loo, and bathroom. Tacky? YES, but it was the seventies. I had been drinking Pernod and Blackcurrant by the pint and decided to redecorate the carpet that night.

My Mum beat me over the head , repeatedly, while I was still asleep, with a hoover. Any clues where I fucked up would be helpful

Jinx!

I also did that at home the first time I went home steaming, was horrendously sick, pernol and blackcurrant all over mine and my sisters room... and I also got a fucking hiding for it at the time... whats the odds :psketti:

I haven't touched that combination of drink since.

Even the thought of Pernod makes me call for Hughie now........

Anything remotely whiskey like does that to me still.
When I was about 17 I drank a litre of Glayva that was my old mans. I became a total nuisance then spent a good long time with my head down a bog.... it wasn't very nice, but at least it stopped me wanting to do it again!

I remember sneaking in, quite inebriated & being pleasantly surprised that everyone had gone to bed so that my lateness was unnoticed. Spent ages creeping up the stairs as silent as a ninja, missing the squeaky steps, which was a major accomplishment, considering my surroundings were spinning like a carousel.

Collapsed into bed & slipped the headphones on - cranked the music up to full volume. Suddenly the light came on, & my mother came sprinting in looking like a banshee, and delivered a perfect flying drop-kick to my head.

Apparently I'd neglected to plug the phones into the record player.

That's horrid, Jhado. I bet your girl wants to see both of you. She should stop being selfish and take your daughter's feelings into account.

My introduction to alchohol was a brutal one, too. Seventeen and in a park on a rough council estate (you know I'm a sucka for cliches).

Twas evil cider what tipped me over the edge. In my wisdom, I had decided to mount a climbing frame and sit atop it supping the cider. Half hour in, I'm sat there with my mates bragging about how it wasn't even effecting me. An hour later, the park was spinning and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get down off the frame.

Eventually I fell off, proceeded to abuse two dog walkers and then passed out. I awoke to the vision of my mother looming over me, swearing quite profusely. I then, apparently, vomitted all over my own face - quite a feat in itself. I am told because I was too far gone and a little too heavy for my mother to drag home, she had to roll me over so I didn't choke on my own spew.

And there I lay for some hours before coming too with vom and woodchip in my hair.

Halcyon days...
What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow: Our life is the creation of our mind.
