Spent ages creeping up the stairs as silent as a ninja, missing the squeaky steps, which was a major accomplishment, considering my surroundings were spinning like a carousel.

Collapsed into bed & slipped the headphones on - cranked the music up to full volume. Suddenly the light came on, & my mother came sprinting in looking like a banshee, and delivered a perfect flying drop-kick to my head.

Apparently I'd neglected to plug the phones into the record player.

I bet she'd been giggling to herself listening to your 'ninja' antics up the stairs!
Hope you feel better tout suite so you can enjoy your 'day off'! ;)

@ jhado.......you know what I think about that...have a

I can't remember the first time I got absolutely blutered and shit faced! :emb:

Ha ha I've done that. :D I used to live in the cellar at me ma's house for a bit - it was my own little hobbit hole.
I got back smashed one night & decided I wanted a go on my electric guitar.... so I plugged the headphones in and was noodling away then my mum appeared unexpectedly next to me, obviously furious!
I hadn't realised the guitar was coming out of the headphones and the amp. :emb:

At least she never found out that I used to have loads of people back there smoking pipes most nights. :spliff:

Hahaha! Just watched 10 minutes of that nanny programme. It was like watching a car crash.

2 scientists have a 3 yr old & a 1 yr old, and the kids are shrieking and trying to kill each other - dad's going, "No dear, we don't want you to do that", while one's braying the other over the head with a bottle & ignoring him!

They make shows about any old bollix these days.

Why is it that sometimes when I log on, I have about half the options at the top of the screen that are usually there, and 'My OPs' has disappeared? Like so:

I've just finished the last of my work for the year..... :cheer: as usual, a last minute struggle to get everything done. Been struggling to motivate myself this semester as well & one of the course modules was utterly wank which didn't help.
Glad to get it out of the way & have a bit of a chill now..... but still need to do about 7000 words for my dissertation over the festive period.

How much does perfume cost!! Fucksake it's only smelly water. Slap some celebriprick on the box and you can pick your price. What a scam.

Even the bouffant One Direction have a scent out. ffs. Smelling of Boys or summit.

Boys heads smell like horse to me.

Eau de parfum is more expensive than eau de toilette because it's got more essential oils in, which makes the scent stay on your skin longer. They do know how to charge for it.

The smell in the place was quite nauseating. I don't know how people can work there.

To save confusion there should be Brut for men and Brut for women. That's it. :)

This seems very odd.

It does look odd. I'm still getting very slow load times but I've not had that.

I suggest you copy that post onto this thread WUB where Novum may get a look at it when he gets on.

The girl who lived next door when I was growing up had horses & ponies, and when I used to cuddle my baby brother on my lap, his head had the same aroma as them. So does Alex's.

I wasn't smitten with the ponies but I rode them sometimes

I've probably mentioned this before because I talk about this all the time. I bore the shit out of my family talking about this. But I saw a programme years ago where they took some fancy perfume like Yves St Laurent to a laboratory and asked the scientists "can you make something that smells exactly like this?". And they said "yeah, it won't be exactly the same, but your senses won't be able to tell the difference, but it'll take us a while, so come back in a few days". So the programme went back a few days later, and sure enough, they'd completely nailed it. And they had one of those containers that fertiliser is kept in, about this size, full of what they'd made:

File 612 30

And the people who made the programme asked them how much it would cost them to make that much, and they said that the raw materials would cost about 75p.

So remember that the next time you see Scarlett Johansson poncing around the Eiffel Tower trying to sell you a thimble full for £30.
