I know nowt about footy but having two boys, I do know something about the wrestling unfortunately... including who Vince McMahon is and that Stone Cold song was played to death in this house for a while :splat:

Linking any of that to any football team is damn funny from where I'm sitting and if Newcastle are the chosen ones so be it :psketti:

We can only live in hope.

Good week for English clubs in Europe. Played four, lost three, won zero, scored zero.

That was absolutely dog dirt tonight.
So after changing to a different formation and it working at the weekend with a decent looking side Moyes goes back to the formation that's constantly failed this season & plays the same players who've been rubbish all season. It's unfathomable.

You should have just carried on playing chess, it would have been more enjoyable.

It's not the result that pisses me off. It was absolute shite to watch, boring as fuck. Couldn't string a few passes together. No motivation. Rubbish out of date tactics. Poor team selection. Something is seriously wrong there.
Yes, getting beat at chess is definitely better. :D

I didn't think Moyes would be a good appointment, but I didn't think he'd do this badly.

Having said that, I was thinking about the team this evening...de Gea has never really convinced me, ditto Smalling, Cleverley is reviled, ditto Young, Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Carrick all past their bast to differing degrees...is the team that great? I know he could have picked different players. But I used to look at it when Ferguson was manager and think that it wasn't that great, but then they kept winning so I just assumed I was wrong, but maybe that weren't all that good after all.

They were shit last year but obviously Taggart was able to somehow get the best out of them. It seems to be a combination of him leaving, Moyes being clueless & out of his depth, & a lack of morale/possibly some dramas in the team. I agree with the players you've picked out except for De Gea.... throw Valencia & Nani in there as well.

Regarding UTD i think there are some problems in the background regarding the owners, the players know it and that's why they are playing the way they are.

All English clubs have lost their champions league first leg matches the same score by the way-

Manchester City 0 - 2 Barcelona
Arsenal 0 - 2 Bayern München
Olympiakos Piraeus 2 - 0 Manchester United

What are the chances of that, will Chelsea do the same?

My long shot is PSG to win the comp. :hide:

The Glazers have made a huge mistake in not getting out of the club at the same time as Fergie imo. They'll struggle to get back the amount they could have cashed in for there now.

Well, thank fuck Sunderland didn't win today.

Fuck that!

Although we could have sent Pardew down to headbutt the entire squad had they won.
