Not true of everyone here, I for example left DIF never to return, not even with a sock and was banned in my absence, please get your facts sorted

Nowhere in that post did I say everyone - nor did I name those I believed had - though I do believe I am correct in saying that historically and currently there are members of this forum with sock accounts on the dif.

there is a lot lost in translation in type so apologies if I am not expressing myself very well.

There are people who like to destroy forums both paid shills and unpaid trolls, mike was clearly one of these, if you invite him back then he'll carry on with what he set out to do.

We agreed on some rules a long time ago and agreed on mods to take care of it. They have done just that

If you want to stick up for cunts by all means be my guest, just don't expect much praise for it except off RA here.

Feather might leave because if that twat, if he does come back in all likelihood feather and wub will leave, I certainly would and that would be mission accomplished for mike

No RA - in my time on the DIF, I bit my tongue with the idiots like yourself, who were always out to make trouble, but just skated within the borders of the rules. Because I was a moderator, I knew that any retaliation or mild rebuke would be met with the usual BS accusations of abuse of power etc.

When I came here, it was to have a pleasant time. However, when dickheads behave like you do, I no longer feel a duty to endure it in silence. It's my turn to exercise my right to freedom of speech.

And I object strongly to your type, who just come with the intention of causing trouble.

Everyone knows it had nothing to do with Mike, the reason they left was people didn't like the mods here.

Me personally i like the mods here at SZ but obviously alot of other people did not.

@andy - I am not suggesting the community invite mike back - I posted his message for two reasons -firstly because I wanted to be upfront about the information I had received about his intentions - and secondly because it was an opener for me to say what I am feeling.

To reiterate I do not support coming here as a sock to wind up and disrupt.

But here's the flaw in your strategy, the way I see it - i.e. when the trouble-makers are around, you just don't post, till they've got themselves banned.

We could all stop posting while a troll has some fun, and prior to them pushing hard enough to get banned, what happens to the forum? We've been discouraged from using the place because of the bullies. So they've got their way anyway, albeit temporarily. Until the next sock pops in.

I am not suggesting stopping posting altogether but having 'post blindness' when it comes to those deliberately on a wind up - if no one responds what can they do? either stop posting or start being so outrageous that they end up breaking a rule or can be temp banned for spamming.

It is not easy not to rise to the idiotic things some people say - someone who manages to respond to provocation in a way that makes me both grin and stand in awe is abs - not all of us can pull it off though - I know I can't as my sense of humour is somewhat bypassed half the time - but it is an option to try instead of constant attacks and name calling etc.

And again to reiterate I don't expect people to change just cos I don't like something but I did want to get this off me chest.
