I've done this myself and have reached the point of writing my phd paper on it. I am now fully in the it'll never work camp.

If there is a core of respect here and disrespectful trolls are quickly dealt with, this place can and will heal and grow stronger.

If you remember, or look back over any moderation (eg's off the top of my head, Albie - the one who bragged of having orchestrated a girl's arm being torn off by the power of thought; Blackcloud when on the rampage; Qasrose, who accused Feather of pedophilia) - every single time without exception, there's been a number of people who have been upset by their being moderated, and spoke up in their defence, criticising the facilitators.

@gilly i don't think anyone is getting at me I am just not sure that what I am seeing is necessarily what the 'group' sees or wishes to.

An example off the top of my head - barons thread asking about whether you would ask your partner to live in a woods - he got some horrible responses for no reason - then you not only answered but showed interest and sought more information and we learnt more about why he asked the question etc - that was fecking awesome!! I just wish more people would react like that than react as others did on the thread tis all.

All the people you mentioned being banned were done so for a reason - personally I feel mikes crusade is diverting away from his original point way back when before all the sockery. the same point dogs has made and the same point stars tried to make and the point i am increasingly feeling I utterly missed in my want to avoid 'NaNs' when the forum split.
