There is no doubt whatsoever that Mike was a troll. I would have thought the fact that he completely contradicted himself all the time, continually attacked the moderators whom no-one else was dissatisfied with, and then stated that he wanted to be a moderator himself, and has socked up really obviously numerous times with the sole intent of causing chaos, would make that quite clear.

I'm now content with the running of the site as it is. The mods do a gd job with only the odd human lapse. We can all have our say, that say is largely listened to. Ideas are floated. It's all gd.

The thing I'd change about the place now is how we contributors sometimes interact.

I feel it necessary that trolls are quickly shown the door to that end.

Mike, I used to really like interacting with you. We aired some similar ideas in sz's early days. We both tried a few threads with a methodical approach. You gave me support in my Hague stuff and discourse with the Plod. Then you became a trollish twat.

Edit: should draw a bit of a distinction twixt squatting and site life. Many squats are essentially lawful homes with the same door policy as any other home.

As one in particular who said "It'll never work" I can say that opinion was formed over many years, experience and observation of myself and untold others trying for similar ideals and ultimately realising that it was a hopeless endeavour given that human nature is what it is.

I asked on many occasions for examples of this method in operation, none were ever forthcoming.
As I speculated at the time and continue to do so until proven otherwise, there's a reason for that.

I also said that the desire to pursue those ideals were laudable, if perhaps naive.
That was not meant as an insult more a regretful appraisal of humankind.

To perhaps lay the responsibility at the feet of those who offered their considered and supported opinions for the vision 'not working' is to apply a confirmation bias of epic proportions imo.
