He's right, it does have a hell of a negative effect.
I feel like a clouds been lifted off me, it's like having the drug monkey off your back if you know what I mean.
My simply not posting there anymore has had more of a powerful effect than I could ever have done by arguing with all the divide and conquer bigots.
Actually, if there is anything to that whole LOA stuff, people that spend their lives on that forum are storing themselves up for a whole heap of nasty stuff, too.
I can kind of see how that works now, being away from it. I mean, I know terrible stuff happens every day, but there really is no useful purpose in wallowing in it every second. Besides which, the msm do a good enough job of reminding us just how awful everything is every day.
I'm quite sure they don't need any more help.
I think youre totally right about the LOA stuff and that getting involved with debates on DIF actually meant feeding whatever the thread was supposedly opposing (same with reading the headlines page too I feel). Plus some/most debates were just not worth getting involved in as they were only ever going to go in one direction and you just harm yourself by getting involved (which is easier said than done, because you get involved then get annoyed with yourself for getting involved). Somone has a sig which says 'dont feed the trolls' and that makes sense; Dubs' strategy seemed like the best approach.
Im a 100% Icke fan, and whilst I don't doubt his intentions, think he needs to do something about what has happened to his forum. Perhaps he is turning a blind eye as he needs to generate income after all that business with the publishing company who screwed him over? I've seen this happen to another person (who I think was targeted), and then because money was tight the'quality contol' went downhill and reputation got battered. I think these court cases are a weapon which is used to drain people and force them to compromise on their values. Either way, has anyone actually emailed Icke directly??
The thing that has shocked me about all this is that the mods are so complicit. I thought there was an invasion of negative people on DIF and that they were responsible for everything bad, but hearing everyone's tales has been a real eye opener. I mean, to ban someone for life is shocking in itself (maybe a year or something, but the 'no forgiveness' policy is just crazy given the fact the forum is supposed to oppose police-state behaviour). I have no idea what modgate is but must have been bad as people keep mentioning it.
