Don't despair mandy. You're not alone. They're everywhere :spliff:

:emb: ... *runs away*

:O So it's a global phenomenon, psketti! Well, at least they're enjoying themselves! I saw on a wildlife documentary ages ago that slugs are in fact hermaphrodite and in the absence of any other slug in the vicinity that takes their fancy, can mate with themselves (shock, horror!).

For some reason what you have written about slugs just gave me really bad deja vu - spooky.

Why is it so sh*t?

It's really starting to get me down. :(

Soon as I'm able, I'm moving to hotter climes where the sun shines at least once or twice a week. Am I to assume that the really hot three or four days we had a couple of weeks ago was officially our summer, then?

know what you mean... everyone is really grumpy down here 'cos it's a holiday resort and the weather has been shite.

I though I saw the sun peeping out today so i washed out the hutches.. then it started spitting.

i somehow disabled cookies and each time i check the weather on the BBC site i get london and it shows sun and high temperatures sometimes and I get all excited. then again, my sis lives up there and says it's not too good.

My veggies are confused, my broccoli has bolted, last time it was due to me not watering them, this time they think it's now autumn! :shitstorm:

No need to be sorry, it was just a bit freaky!

I'm not all that far away from you. We had a bit of a thunderstorm earlier, it's still grey, but humid. You can see that the Sun is trying to break through the clouds.

I have booked the week off with myself next week and I'm seriously considering praying for some good weather. That's right, praying!

This horrible, muggy, damp weather seems to be giving me spots. Has this been happening to anyone else?

Cripes, you are just down the road from me really, and we've not had a drop of rain here.

Oh and my neighbours garden is full of slugs, I know because thats where I keep throwing them. :coffee:

MASSIVE. :O I've just got back from walking Ruby-dog and was ankle deep in soft earth all the way around. But it's HOT out there. Between the wellies and the raincoat I'm cooked. I was like a walking sauna.

Slugs'n'snails can do that "find their way back home" thingy, like mice and cats (although it takes them a lot loooooonger).

We already covered this in another thread. I think we decided that snails are the traveller/gypsies of the slug world.

Of course, the snails would probably have you believe the opposite. It's a minefield.
