Hi there boywonder :)

I remember how the summers used to be and you're right about it starting about 7 years ago. I can remember the last year that my son was in first school. They had a day towards the end of term to celebrate the school's 100th anniversary and it was outside. Well, my son ended up with sun stroke. A few of the kids did.

August has always been wet, but this year is the worst summer I can remember. It's non existant.

I hate the constant cloud cover and it's actually quite depressing. If we get sunny weather in the UK everyone is really jolly and it puts people in a good mood. You always the miserable feckers who moan about the heat and sun, but they're often the sorts who will moan about everything.

If I had to walk to school through a forest I might just walk every day.. Mind you, I may not make it to school. :killinme:

I think the teachers would be thinking that what you did was a very good idea!! That is, if he isn't a drowned rat when he gets there. :)

For inidiana jones it was snakes, for me its spiders :)

I even got bitten by a snake in france and I didn't give it a moments though tbh...a few hours later my leg had a big hole in it and necrotic flesh...sheesh.
There is a biting spider in the UK, the one in the pic might be one of them, they usually don't do much harm but some people can be allergic I believe.

My dad was bitten by a spider here in the UK - it was one of those strange shiny red ones that look as if they're made from plastic. Nothing terrible happened to him, thankfully, but it didn't half hurt!
